Cover Re-reveal: Forgotten Promises
I’m super excited to make the announcement that Forgotten Promises is almost ready to (re) enter the marketplace! The book was out in 2015 and Tucker was my first “anti-hero.” My editor at the time challenged me to write a darker romance, and I leapt at the chance to write something outside of my comfort zone.
How dark is this book, you ask?
Pretty damn dark. 😬
Forgotten Promises turned out being an action-packed, heart-wrenching read about a girl who is kidnapped by the hero—a hero who has just about the best reason for doing so. Trust me. Soon these two lost souls find they have something in common even amidst the kidnapping and evading the law. It ends happily, like all my books, but you’ll be on an emotional roller coaster for a while. While this is truly a Jessica Lemmon novel, it is not the lighter, fluffier fare delivered by Eye Candy.
Here are a few review quotes:
When it came time to recover the book, I was so excited I could hardly stand it! The former cover wasn’t exactly what I would have chosen, but now I had the chance to capture Tucker and the emotion behind the book.
Here is the fresh, new cover for Forgotten Promises!
And here is the new back cover copy:
From the darker side of Jessica Lemmon
Dumped. Alone. Kidnapped. Morgan Young’s dreamy twenty-first birthday is turning into a nightmare…
It’s too late for Tucker Noscalo. A brutal childhood left him with a bad reputation and a criminal record. Fresh out of jail, he has a score to settle with Baybrook’s crooked police chief—his own father. But no one will believe Tucker’s explosive accusations without proof and a good lawyer, and Morgan Young happens to be the daughter of the best lawyer in the county.
He needs Morgan to convince her father of the ugly truth. But first Tucker has to convince her, and he’ll do whatever it takes to get her to listen. Confronted by the story of Tucker’s dark past, Morgan feels utterly compelled to help him. As their connection grows into a fierce bond fueled by raw passion, she finds herself falling for the wrong guy—but never has the promise of love felt so right.
If you missed this one, or would like the updated 2019 version, Forgotten Promises will be on sale in the month of June 2019, and purchasing links will be available here.
My initials in the corner of the cover signify that this is a book I’m bringing to you, from me, personally. Who knew I’d ever be a publisher? 🤷🏼♀️ And while we’re here, I’ll tell you one more secret… I have a fresh book in the works that I will be publishing personally! The tentative release date is 2020.
What do you think of FP’s new cover?
