Misc. Monday: A fun weekend!

So, I had a very busy (and very fun!) weekend! It started on Friday night. We went to a friend's bday dinner and saw our favorite local Irish Rock band perform after at our favorite local pub. :)

On Saturday, I was asked to speak at our local RWA meeting. I shared what I called "The Newbie's Guide to Being Published." And I don't know about everyone else, but I  had SO much fun! I gave away three ARCs of Tempting the Billionaire--I suggested we do a dance-off to choose the winners, but no one was really keen on that idea, so I just used raffle tickets instead. ;-)

One of the ARC winners, Sandy Pennington!

The winners even let me write my name in their brand new books. Wasn't that sweet of them?

Saturday night, the husband cracked open a few bottles of his FIRST BATCH of homemade brew. It was an Imperial Pale Ale and let me tell you - the IBUs were OFF. THE. CHARTS. That means it was bitter, people. If you are not a beer connoisseur, bitter is GOOD in this case. But still, a wee tad to bitter for this little lady.

Then on Sunday, I made a dish called Southern Style Black-Eyed Peas with homemade biscuits and Maple Butter. YUM! (More info on a future installment of Friday Feast on this amazing dinner!) and generally spent the day reading and napping. I LOVE SUNDAYS. (Details on Wednesday on What I'm Reading/Watching!)

What about you? How was your weekend?
