Story Flow Mentorship

For writers seeking guidance, support, and the accountability to finally finish their book.

Take a look at this photo from 2013.

That’s me, in the middle, reading an excerpt of my debut novel to a packed wine shop of family and friends. Back then, I knew I could write and so I set out to be the first published author in my family.

And so began a two-and-a-half-year journey to selling my novel to a New York publisher. When I finished book number five, I knew I had finally penned the story that would grant me that coveted contract.

I persevered through doubts, rejection, and a steep learning curve. (I had no idea how to query an agent, and I edited my first novel in record time.) Every challenge I faced then has become part of the wisdom I now share.

In the twelve years—and 47 books!—since, I’ve experienced incredible highs and challenging lows.

I have been published by multiple publishers, was once paid to write a book for James Patterson, and have been recognized in public. My books have been translated into a dozen languages, distributed to 30+ countries, and featured on NPR.com and USA Today. They have been nominated for awards, a few of them were named Amazon and Apple Books of the Month, and one of my books climbed to #1 at Barnes & Noble. I have lost count of sales (that’s my husband’s department), but at last tally, they were somewhere around 1.2 million.

All because there was a stirring in my heart to be a published author.

What dream is stirring in your heart?

What’s holding you back from finishing your book? Is it tangible—like plot, character, or arc? Or is it a bit harder to wrap your hands around—like grounding down into your author identity, owning your confidence, or claiming your dream outcome?

No matter what it is, I have been there.

Plot knots. Messy middles. Doubts.

Tears of joy. Panic. Pressure.

Five-star reviews. One-star reviews.

You don’t have to take the same winding, nearly three-year path that I did. You don’t have to spend countless hours researching and struggling through the foggy, murky landscape. I remember early on when I received a rejection letter from a publisher. My heart sank. Even worse, it was a form letter with zero specifics about my book. The kind but generic words did nothing to help me see what I was missing.

I remember thinking: If I knew what was wrong, I could fix it!

After publishing four dozen books, working with multiple editors, and making several course corrections along the way, I can say to you with confidence:

Your book? It’s fixable.

From my perspective, I could argue that it doesn’t need fixing—and neither do you. You just don’t know what you don’t know. And that’s why this mentorship is so valuable. Not only will you have access to a course created by me, but we’ll also talk 1:1—no generic form letters here.

What Story Flow Mentorship is

  • A private container for accountability, clarity, and confidence

  • Six personalized sessions (weekly or biweekly) focused on your story challenges

  • Guidance from my 13 years as a multi-published, bestselling author

  • A supportive space to untangle plot knots, strengthen your process, and step confidently into your role as an author.

What Story Flow Mentorship is not

  • An editing service. I won’t be line-editing or copyediting your manuscript.

  • A critique group—no harsh red pens, no peer review—this is one-on-one support.

  • Not only a course. Story Flow includes my comprehensive course plus 1:1 mentorship.

  • A publishing how-to. I’ll share my own experiences, but I won’t be teaching query letters or submission strategies.

The struggle to write can be REAL.

Have you…

-Started and stopped too many times to count?

-Felt stuck in the “messy middle” with no foreseeable way out?

-Dealt with characters who won’t cooperate or a plot knot you can’t untangle?

What if there is a way forward that feels clear, doable, and even…dare I say it? Easy.

I have been where you are, and with 48 books (and counting!) under my belt, I will likely be there again.

I’ve traversed this exact landscape again and again, which puts me in a unique position to help you with your book.

6 weeks from now, you could be writing with confidence.

Because…

  • You know how to untangle a plot knot

  • You now write relatable characters your readers will love

  • You’ve almost finished (or finished!) your first draft

  • You have my complete course roadmap: PDF’s, journaling questions, and videos that will take you from idea to The End

  • You celebrate yourself and your progress, because you are freaking killing it.

You’ll own your identity as a writer, which is something no one can ever take from you.

You deserve to feel the elation, pride, and joy that comes with:

  • Holding the book you wrote in your hands

  • Writing your first dedication (who’s it gonna be?!)

  • Seeing your book on a shelf—whether in a bookstore, a library, or your own living room.

  • Signing your autograph for a fan

  • Celebrating your first sale—and then your millionth

Are you ready to move forward with clarity, flow, and ease?
